Derma Genesis® Microdermabrasion
Derma Genesis® Microdermabrasion medical procedure is administered by a qualified medical practitioner trained in the use and application of this treatment.

It needs oxygen, stimulation, moisture and a fast cell turnover to remain healthy and looking good. You can deliver all these to your skin by having a medical Microdermabrasion treatment.
Most commonly used on the face but can be used on any part of the body such as hands, feet, back, chest, neck, arms and even your bottom! It can be used for a variety of skin conditions.
Acne skin: aids the control of acne symptoms by regulating oil production, cleans blocked pores, removes debris and provides a cleaner skin surface. (This is more effective if taken as a course of treatments).

Pigmented skin: sun spots, brown spots or any other type of pigmentation, microdermabrasion can be visibly reduced by these treatments. (This is more effective if taken as a course of treatments).
Mature skin: fine lines and wrinkles can be softened by microdermabrasion, mature skin types benefit from stimulating the dermis and increasing oxygen, blood and lymph circulation to the skin. How does it Work?
Microdermabrasion is an excellent medical grade exfoliation treatment that is performed by a qualified nurse and ensures an effective efficient and comfortable experience. The Derma Genesis® medical Microdermabrasion machine uses cuboid crystals to gently exfoliate the upper layers of the skin exposing living cells that are soft, smooth and receptive to nutrients.
Why does it improve the look of the skin?
As the crystals are passed over the skin the dead cells and debris are removed revealing clean new skin. Imperfections such as bumps, lines, the build up of dead skin and other complexion dulling impurities are removed.
The underlying epidermis and dermis are stimulated by the vacuum, increasing the blood supply and oxygen to the skin, promoting the growth of new cells. This vacuuming also stimulates the dermis to generate collagen and elastin which thickens the dermis and supports the skins structure. Microdermabrasion stimulates your lymphatic system, thus helping to carry the toxins away and feed your skin, giving your complexion a radiant healthy glow. The Derma Genesis® medical microdermabrasion system is proven to be four times more effective than its competitors, ensuring that you the client receive the most effective treatment available.
The treatment process:
The treatment will last between 30 - 45 minutes.
The face is cleansed and dried.
The test area is done on the forearm to familiarise you with the sensation.
The face is then treated with the machine making several passes starting at the forehead and working over the whole face and focussing on the problem areas.
You should expect to feel a light scratching as the vacuum goes over.
The face is then washed with water to remove any remaining crystals.
Recovery complex is then applied.
We suggest you avoid make- up for at least six hours to allow the skin to settle and reduce the risk of blocked pores.
After treatment, KAMA will suggest an ongoing skin care regime, however it is important that you use a high factor sun scream even in cloudy weather to protect your ‘new skin’.
Please note that for some skin problems, a course of microdermabrasion will be recommended. For these courses KAMA can offer a special rate.
