Skin Treatments

KAMA offer multiple skin care treatments, ranging from TCA Peels through to Meso Therapy.

Acne Scarring

Acne scarring can occur at varying degrees and as each case is different the aim of treatment is to tailor it to your needs. Two procedures are involved and a light dermal filler may be required.

Stage 1. To detach the dermis from the scar tissue, done using a cannula in the upper dermis breaking the fibres down to allow the scar tissue to become detached and lift.

Stage 2. Break down the scar tissue using micro needling on the outer surface of the scar allowing new skin to rejuvenate.

These procedures can be performed either separately or together depending on the level of scarring. Done at 4-6 week intervals this can take 6-9 months before a noticeable result has been achieved. A treatment plan will be discussed and will be dependant on the level of scarring. If the skin still indicates indentation after these treatments then light dermal filler or polynucleotide containing a small amout of hyaluronic acid may be applied to each area to support the skin further. Side effects may include swelling, bruising, micro-pigmentation and redness.

Before and After Skin

Thread Veins

Thread veins (Spider Veins) are those veins that have spread from another vessel and serve no purpose in the blood circulation system only becoming a nuisance when visible.

Using Fibrovein a scleral irritant creating atherosclerosis to the lining of the blood vessel closing them up making the red vein less visible. The treatment will usually be re-treated within 6-8 weeks to reduce reoccurrence. The treatment may last over a year but it is not unusual for other veins to appear in that area.

Post treatment you will experience some localised reaction in the form of hives at the sites treated.

Side effects may include, redness, swelling, hives, bruising and micro pigmentation.

Meso Therapy

Meso-therapy (Filorga NCTF 135HA) is a treatment that enables a high concentration of hyaluronic acid and poly-revitalizing solution to be administered into the dermis of the skin.
As well as stimulating new skin production, collagen and fibrinogen has the added benefit of adding essential minerals into the dermis.

The solution can be applied using a 30G needle or via a cannula allowing micro-injections in the dermal-epidermal junction or the superficial dermis.

Areas that can be treated include face, peri-orbital area, neck, décolleté, back of the hands, inner side of the arms and thigh thighs. Side effects may include, bruising, swelling, redness and micro pigmentation which can last for a few days.

Skin Boosters

Restylane Skinboosters Vital/Vital light, contain small molecules of hyaluronic acid. Injected just below the skin via cannula or needle, hydrates, replaces naturally lost hyaluronic acid and stimulates natural collagen, softening and refreshes the skin. Ideal for creased skin and fine lines.
You will appreciate a result immediately, there may be slight swelling but after a few days the skin will settle and continue to improve. By 4-6 weeks collagen will have been stimulated and the skin will look firmer and fresher.

We would recommend a small top up at 4-6 weeks and you should then expect it to last approximately 6 months. Tops ups can be given at any time when you feel you need it.

Micro Needling

Advanced micro-medical skin needling penetrates into the dermis stimulating the skin to regenerate and repair it self. Increase in circulation, collagen and fibrinogen production results in smoother, brighter, healthier younger looking skin.
Also effective in the use of treating acne scarring, stretch marks and cellulite.

Side effects which can last for a few days can include reddening of the skin, soreness or bruising.
